Am Vorabend des Weltfrauentags, der am 8. März begangen wird, nähern sich fünf Dichterinnen und eine Musikerin mit Gedichten, kurzen Prosastücken und musikalischen Klängen dem heutigen Frausein und dem weiblichen Körper aus vielfacher Perspektive: von Weiblichkeiten über Emanzipation und Feminismus, Mutterschaft und (Fehl-)Geburt bis zu Erotik, Liebe und Begehren. Wie kaum ein anderer Künstler steht VA Wölfl für die produktiven Verbindungen zwischen Bildender Kunst, Fotografie und dem deutschen Tanztheater. Sein Werk kulminiert in den Chor(e)ografien des Ensembles NEUER TANZ (1987–2024). In Videoinstallationen werden Schlüsselwerke von NEUER TANZ sowie Film-, Performance- und Fotoarbeiten gezeigt. Wegbegleiter*innen kontextualisieren eines der erfolgreichsten Theaterprojekte der letzten 35 Jahre. mehr

Kunstpreis Berlin – Jubiläumsstiftung 1848/1948

Dem Turnus der sechs Sektionen der Akademie der Künste folgend wird der Große Kunstpreis Berlin in diesem Jahr in der Sektion Baukunst verliehen und geht an den französischen Gartenarchitekten Gilles Clément. Die weiteren sechs Kunstpreise erhalten Assaf Gruber (Bildende Kunst), Anton Kolomeytsev (Baukunst), Cassandra Miller (Musik), Brigitta Falkner (Literatur), Göksu Kunak (Darstellende Kunst) und Pietro Marcello (Film- und Medienkunst). Der Heinrich-Mann-Preis 2025 geht an die Essayistin Mely Kiyak. Aus der Begründung der Jury: „Mely Kiyak ist zu einer wichtigen intellektuellen Stimme der deutschen Gesellschaft geworden. Sie widmet sich der Selbsterkenntnis, politischer Diagnose und gesellschaftlicher wie institutioneller Kritik. Genaue Analysen verwebt sie mit radikaler Selbstbeobachtung und einem in politischen Stellungnahmen äußerst seltenen Sinn für absurd-schöne Komik.“ mehr

Few other artists stand for the productive connections between the visual arts, photography and German dance theatre like VA Wölfl. His work culminates in the choreographies of the NEUER TANZ ensemble (1987–2024). Berlin Art Prize – Jubilee Endowment 1848/1948

Following the rotation of the six sections of the Akademie der Künste, this year the Berlin Art Prize – Grand Prize is to be awarded in the Architecture Section to the French landscape architect Gilles Clément. The other six art prizes go to Assaf Gruber (Visual Arts), Anton Kolomyeytsev (Architecture), Cassandra Miller (Music), Brigitta Falkner (Literature), Göksu Kunak (Performing Arts) and Pietro Marcello (Film and Media Arts). The Heinrich Mann Prize 2025 goes to the essayist Mely Kiyak. From the jury’s statement: “Mely Kiyak has become an important intellectual voice in German society. She is dedicated to self-knowledge, political diagnosis and social and institutional criticism.
